"If you're here, you've been carrying a lot. Read what you need, skip what you don't, and reach out when you're ready."

Connected Coaching for ADHD, autism, executive function, anxiety, and learning differences — grades 1 through young adulthood, virtual nationwide.

We coach. You cheer. Your student succeeds.
Essay 01 For exhausted parents

You've tried everything. Nothing's clicking.

The IEP. The tutor. The therapist. The medication trial. The sticker chart that worked for two weeks. You're not failing — the standard playbook just wasn't built for kids who think differently.

Connected Coaching is what comes after "we've tried everything."

If any of this sounds familiar —
  1. 01 Your kid is bright but can't seem to "apply themselves."
  2. 02 Homework battles are eating your evenings — and your relationship.
  3. 03 School accommodations exist on paper, but nothing's changing.
  4. 04 Your young adult is stuck — at home, off-track, drifting.
  5. 05 You can tell the system isn't working, but you don't know what to try next.

We meet you exactly where you are.

And through connection, reflection, and coaching, we help your student move from potential to success.

The framework

The Connected Coaching Framework

A connection-first framework Dr. Russell developed across 17 years working with neurodivergent students. Four stages, in order, that make the work actually land.

The Connected Coaching Framework — four stages: Connection (we build trust, understand your child, strengthen your relationship), Reflection (we identify strengths, challenges, and what's getting in the way), Practice (we practice strategies that build executive functioning skills and confidence), Ownership (your child takes ownership, uses their skills, and grows with your ongoing support). Connection changes everything. Personal connection. Stronger skills. Brighter future.

— connection changes everything.

Profile The founder

Dr. Norrine Russell

— founder & director, since 2009.

"Meet the kid where they actually are. That's the whole job."

17 years ago, I was working with kids who'd been written off by the system — bright, struggling, and exhausted. The programs that existed weren't built for how they thought. So I built one that was.

Connected Coaching is the result. It's now used by hundreds of families and trained coaches across the country, but the heart of it is the same as day one: we coach. we cheer. your student succeeds.

The Book · by Dr. Russell

Asking the Right Questions about ADHD

— before, during, and after your child's diagnosis.

The book Dr. Russell wrote because too many families were getting the wrong advice — before the diagnosis was confirmed, during the appointments, and after, when they were left with a label and no plan. Practical, concise, drawn from 20+ years with neurodivergent families.

Essay 06 — honest answers

Common questions from parents.

Q. How is coaching different from therapy or tutoring? +
A.

Therapy treats. Tutoring teaches a subject. Coaching builds the systems — focus, planning, follow-through, self-advocacy — that make therapy and tutoring stick. We're often the missing piece, not a replacement.

Q. Is this a good fit if my child is in crisis? +
A.

No, and we'll tell you so on the call. Coaching works best when your child is stable enough to engage. If you're in crisis, we'll point you toward the right resources first.

Q. Do you work with insurance? +
A.

Coaching is not an insurance-billable service, so it is not something insurance covers. We provide receipts and many families use HSA/FSA funds. We'll be upfront about cost on the discovery call so there are no surprises.

Q. How long do most families work with you? +
A.

A typical engagement is 6–12 months. Our goal is to get your student to independence — not to keep you forever.

Q. Is it virtual or in-person? +
A.

Almost entirely virtual. It works better for most students — fewer transitions, more access to top coaches regardless of where you live. In our 2026 student survey, 89% reported their virtual meetings were successful.
