What Spring Survival is

Spring Survival is a short, focused intervention for students who are running out of runway as the school year ends: missing assignments piling up, finals coming, motivation gone, parents at their limit. Elementary through college. It is not a long-term coaching engagement. It's a sprint, with one-on-one sessions from March 1 to May 30 aimed at the actual mountain in front of your student: the missing work, the study guides, the exam prep, the final paper.

Packages are 6, 8, 10, or 12 one-hour sessions, and the coach works like a project manager: what's salvageable, what order it goes in, what gets done this week.

A typical week

Sessions are usually once or twice a week, scheduled to the deadlines rather than to a fixed rhythm. Each one opens with an honest look at the list (what's owed, what's been submitted, what's changed), then works the top of it: the missing assignments that are still accepted, the study guide for Thursday's exam, the outline for the paper due in ten days.

The student leaves with checkpoints for the days in between, and you get an update after each session so you know where things stand without having to ask twice.

What changes

The goal is a year that ends in the passing column instead of in summer school, and a student who has felt what it's like to dig out with a plan instead of with hope. Spring Survival is also the easiest way to find out whether coaching fits your student before committing to a school year of it. Students who continue into Connected Coaching in the fall get a reduced $400 intake.
