What Summer Programs are

Summer is when a student can catch up, get ahead, or get ready for the next step without the weekly weight of school on top of it. Our summer programs are one-on-one coaching, not classes and not camp: eight 50-minute video sessions with a dedicated coach, once or twice a week, scheduled around vacations, camps, and the family calendar.

You choose the program when you register: Middle School Preparation for grades 5 to 8, High School Success, College Readiness, Executive Functioning Basics, Social-Emotional Learning, Leadership and Strengths Development, ADHD-Focused Study Skills, and Summer Class Support for a student taking an accelerated summer course. Elementary through college, and every program is eight 50-minute sessions for $895.

A typical week

One or two sessions a week, at times that move when the family does. In the first session the coach and student set a summer-sized goal: a working system for the first month of high school, a study routine that survives a real test, the organization habits a college freshman needs before move-in day. Each session teaches a piece of it and practices it on something real, and the coach keeps you posted along the way so the momentum carries into fall. Sessions run June through August.

What changes

A student who walks into the new school year already running, instead of spending September rebuilding habits that fell apart over the summer. For the transition programs, that means the first weeks of middle school, high school, or college are handled by a plan instead of by panic. For the skill programs, it means one specific thing got better and the student knows it.

Many summer students continue into Connected Coaching in the fall, with a $400 intake instead of $525 when they do.
