What Connected Coaching is

Connected Coaching is weekly, one-on-one executive function coaching for students in grades 5 through college, with the parent kept in the loop the whole way. It's for the student who is bright and capable and still can't seem to start the essay, find the worksheet, or hand in the thing they already finished. ADHD, autism, anxiety, a learning difference, or some mix of those is usually part of the picture.

We don't tutor the subject. We build the skills that make school workable: planning backward from a due date, breaking a project into pieces, keeping track of what's owed, starting when it's time to start, and sticking with it once it gets boring. The coach your student works with has at least 8 to 10 years of experience with students and is trained one-on-one by Dr. Russell in the Connected Coaching method, with her supervision continuing for as long as they coach here.

A typical week

Your student has a set day and a set time, the same slot every week, for a 50-minute video session with their coach. The coach logs into the school portal with them, so the two of them are looking at the same gradebook, the same missing assignments, and the same due dates. From there they plan backward: what's due, what has to happen first, what gets done tonight and what waits until Thursday. New skills get taught, then practiced on real homework, not on worksheets about homework. The session ends with a short, specific plan for the week.

Afterwards the coach writes up the session in the Connected Coaching Portal, so you know what they worked on and what the plan is without having to interrogate your kid at dinner. When the school, a therapist, or a doctor needs to be part of the picture, the coach coordinates with them, and can recommend accommodations worth asking for in a 504 plan or an IEP.

What changes

The first thing most families notice is that the fighting about homework eases. A student who has a plan and a person holding them to it doesn't need a parent doing that job, and the household gets its evenings back. In our February 2026 survey of current students, 96% said they are doing better academically, 96% said their coach holds them accountable, and 89% said meeting online works well for them.

Under the grades is the part that lasts: a student who knows how they work, what derails them, and what to do about it. That is what they take with them to college and beyond.

How to start

Book a free call if you want to talk it through first, or go straight to registration. After you register you'll upload the last two years of report cards, any standardized testing, any evaluations, and the 504 or IEP if there is one. Then comes the intake appointment with Dr. Russell or one of our intake specialists (about 90 minutes, $525, parents only for students under 18), where the records get reviewed and the match gets decided. Within 24 hours your student is matched with a coach, and the first session happens within the week.

Coaching is $575 a month at once a week, $1,090 at twice a week, and $1,635 at three times a week, plus a $100 annual registration and technology fee. Semester and full-year plans cost less per month, and several state scholarship programs cover coaching. The fee schedule has everything in one place.
